All our yearning, our stretching out, our hope, our thirst for God – this is something He has created in us so that He might fill and satisfy us. It is not our wanting that sets us on this journey, but His. Our desire He has created within us so we might know His desire for us.  In our lonely, desperate or rejoicing prayers it is God who is seeking us and He himself who has created the prayer; He is on the inside of the longing. His longing for us is the spring of ours for Him.
